I had a great time working with Rachel on her high school senior portraits. When we first started discussing her session I told Rachel that I thought it would be great to push her pictures past the traditional senior portraits. I suggested that her pictures should speak about her personality and represent who she was as a person. I learned that Rachel loves magic and loves to read which eventually became the interweaving theme to “enchant” her portraits. In the end, it made for a fun session and I’m excited to share some of her images.
This wedding all started with a dream when the bride told her father that she wanted to get married under the maple tree by the river on her family’s farm.
With a bit of help from family and friends over the course of three months, they transformed a rough brush area at Cherry Ridge Organic Farm into an absolutely stunning wedding venue! Yes, it rained on her summer wedding day, but it certainly didn’t stop the romance.
When I arrived, Jeremiah and his groomsmen were tirelessly slugging through mud preparing for the wedding day. A groomsman was loading huge floral centerpieces into the bed of a pick-up truck, the best man arranging chairs in the wedding area, while others making sure the reception area was going to stay powered throughout the night. As I approached, the groom stopped what he was doing and stood tall with a great big smile, extended his hand providing me with a big warm welcome. This was everyone’s spirit on the wedding day and I knew despite the rain it was going to be an amazing time. I assisted Summer Gibbs (http://www.summergibbs.com/) with Sara and Jeremiah’s beautiful wedding and I wanted to share what I captured of their wedding day.
