As a photographer, there are situations in which I think, “Should I reschedule?”
It was cold and raining all day last Friday and I was worried that 1) my clients would possibly die from pneumonia afterward, and 2) I’d ruin my camera. I called the clients and asked what they wanted. Martha and Kyle not only really wanted to still have their session, but wanted to take advantage of the outdoor spring-time beauty! YIKES!
Well, I knew I really wanted to take these photos and that photos in the rain would look great…but I somehow needed to get around the camera-getting-wet problem. So, I created some ghetto rain gear by placing a plastic grocery bag over my camera with a hole just large enough for my lens. I looked pretty silly, but it seemed to work rather well for getting a few laughs out of Martha!
Anyhow, thanks so much for shooting in the rain and having so much fun doing it! Also, thanks to our “assistant” (aka Kyle’s Mom) for her acrobatic feats in holding an umbrella up while staying out of frame! I hope you enjoy your previews!
